‘YOU ARE LOVED’ MUSIC VIDEO
New Media Film Festival, Los Angeles
Thursday, June 9 | 9:00 PM
If you’re going to be on the West Coast this summer and haven’t watched the video Ernest directed for his new song “You Are Loved,” written with and performed by New England’s rock and blues legend Justin Jaymes, don’t miss this chance to see it on the big screen. Selected by the New Media Film Festival, “You Are Loved” will screen on Thursday, June 9 at 9:00 pm at The Landmark theatre in Los Angeles and will be followed by a Q&A with Ernest and other filmmakers.
Enthusiastically received by audiences at the Maine International Film Festival (MIFF) and its satellite festival MIFF By-the-Sea in Bar Harbor, “You Are Loved” takes a simple love song Ernest wrote for his wife and turns it into a cause. “Anyone can say, ‘I love you,’ unless you grew up in my family, but saying ‘you are loved’ means that no matter what, through success and joy and their opposites, ‘I’ve got your back’.” It’s an upbeat, feel-good song that’ll get your feet moving the second you hear the clarion call of Justin’s unforgettable harmonica.
The video, using Ernest’s patented community approach to moviemaking, was filmed (on his iPhone) in Bar Harbor, Maine, Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, Meredith, New Hampshire and Los Angeles, California. Real people of all ages, shapes and sizes and from every corner of the world are featured making air hearts, quickly becoming the international symbol for You Are Loved. You’ll want to make them, too.
