This workshop is the virtual version of Ernest’s popular Write On Golden Pond™, which has often been described as bootcamp for writers. Unlike other master classes, where you listen to legendary artists talk about their craft, Ernest will discuss the five fundamental elements that will make your story compelling: Emotion, Character, Plot, Dialogue and Message, and then you will roll up your sleeves and write a five-minute play. In the spirit of physical distancing, Ernest will welcome eight writers to gather around his dining room table at Whitebridge Farm via Zoom. The weekend will kick off with a BYOB cocktail party Friday evening and will finish Sunday afternoon with your newly-written masterpiece being performed by professional actors live streamed in front of an audience. Ernest has encouraged hundreds of writers to finesse their storytelling skills. Now it’s your turn. Regardless of what your writing discipline is, or even if you’ve never put pen to paper but have long dreamt of exploring your hidden talent, here’s your opportunity to work one-on-one with an internationally-acclaimed playwright and filmmaker.
